Yes! I provide online lactation consultations via a secure video platform. This is a great option if you’re outside my service area or would prefer an online session.
It helps if your baby is ready to feed during the visit, but I understand that babies don’t always follow schedules! If you have questions or concerns, feel free to jot them down beforehand so we can discuss them during your appointment.
For virtual consultations, ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space.
Absolutely! A prenatal/antenatal lactation consultation can help you feel confident and prepared for breastfeeding. During the session, we’ll discuss what to expect in the early days, how to establish a good milk supply, positioning and latch techniques, and how to prevent common breastfeeding challenges. If you have a history of breastfeeding difficulties, certain medical conditions, previous breast surgery, or are concerned about your breastfeeding journey, a prenatal session can be especially helpful.
Some Australian private health funds offer rebates for IBCLC services. I have a list of healthfunds on my Rebates page that recognise me as a private. Due to different levels of health cover I recommend checking with your provider to see if you are eligible.
